Maintenance has been performed on the lavender garden created by the Aksaray Municipality. Work including weed control, hoeing, and fertilization was carried out.
Planning to create new social amenity areas in the city where citizens can spend pleasant time with their families, the Municipality has also demonstrated that medicinal and aromatic plants can grow in the agricultural city of Aksaray. The Lavender Garden has also become a model production area for producers.
Mayor Evren Dinçer stated that the lavender garden is worth seeing, saying, "We are continuing our efforts to utilize lavender, an aromatic plant, for tourism and industrial purposes in our city, which is a brand in agriculture. We have completed the maintenance of our lavender garden, where we have unlocked another potential of our city. With this project, we have brought agriculture and tourism together. We have shown that our farmers can grow alternative products by applying the experiences they gain here to their own fields. When summer arrives, our lavender will bloom, and our fellow citizens will be able to make the best use of this area, where they can be alone with nature and the outdoors alongside a unique view."
