The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that strong winds and occasional storms are expected to affect the city until Thursday.

In the statement made by AKOM, it was emphasized that the wind in Istanbul will blow strongly, and at times reach storm force, until Thursday.

While it was stated that wind speeds could vary between 40 and 75 kilometers per hour, it was also noted that intermittent showers may be seen across the city starting from Thursday. The statement also included the following remarks:

"Due to the cold air wave coming from the north and the effect of the cloudy sky, temperatures are expected to hover between 13-15 degrees and remain below seasonal norms. While reporting that no generally negative impact from the precipitation is expected, Istanbul residents are asked to be careful and take precautions against situations such as falling trees and poles, flying roofs and signs, and disruptions in transportation that may occur due to strong winds and storms. It is important to take the necessary measures against the effect of the storm, which will continue until Thursday in particular."
