Temperatures are rising: Downpour warning for many provinces

According to the latest forecasts from the Meteorological Service, air temperatures across the country will rise by 2 to 4 degrees. While downpours and thunderstorms are expected in Eastern Anatolia, the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea region, and several other provinces, sleet is expected in the higher elevations of Eastern Anatolia.

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to mostly clear, with some areas in the east being very cloudy. It is estimated that the Taurus Mountains section of the Mediterranean, the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia (excluding Şırnak and Hakkâri), as well as the surroundings of Sivas, Tokat, Rize, Diyarbakır, and Mardin will experience downpours and occasional thunderstorms, while the higher elevations of Eastern Anatolia will see sleet.

Air temperatures across the country are expected to rise by 2-4 degrees.

The wind is expected to blow generally from southerly directions, light to occasionally moderate in strength.
