Temperatures to drop by 6 degrees: Meteorological warning for heavy rain in many cities, including Istanbul

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern parts of our country and the Mediterranean are expected to be partly to very cloudy; the eastern Marmara, the Taurus Mountains region of the Mediterranean, the Black Sea (excluding the surroundings of Bayburt and the coastal parts of Trabzon), as well as the surroundings of Kırklareli, Çankırı, and Ardahan are expected to experience rain and thunderstorms, while other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear. Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the western parts of Kastamonu, Karabük, and Sinop.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 2 to 6 degrees in the Western Black Sea region, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

The wind is expected to blow from the north in general, and from the south in the southeastern parts, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) from the north and northwest along the Southern Aegean coast.
