The district that received the most rainfall in Istanbul in 24 hours
Heavy rainfall that began at night in Istanbul caused flooding and transportation disruptions across the city. Sarıyer, in particular, was the region that received the most precipitation.

Following the "yellow" alert issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the rainfall that affected Istanbul caused water accumulation and turned roads into lakes in many areas. Drivers struggled to move due to the water pooling on the roads, leading to traffic slowdowns. The basements of some homes and businesses were flooded. Citizens, caught unprepared by the rain, had difficulty walking with their umbrellas.
According to measurements taken over the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall per square meter in Istanbul was recorded in Sarıyer at 50.8 kilograms. Beykoz ranked second with 33.5 kilograms, while 32.2 kilograms of rainfall was measured in Üsküdar. Around Istanbul Airport, 30.2 kilograms of rainfall occurred, and 29.2 kilograms in Bakırköy. In Ümraniye and Üsküdar, 23 kilograms of rainfall were recorded.
Looking at the dam basins, 22.2 kilograms of rainfall per square meter fell on the Terkos Dam, and 5.1 kilograms on the Ömerli Dam. The lowest rainfall amounts in Istanbul were determined to be 2.8 kilograms in Pendik and 1.3 kilograms in Tuzla.
