Tourism Minister Ersoy allocated land in Kissebükü to his own company

Balıkesir MP Turhan Çömez revealed with documents that Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy allocated 95 thousand square meters of state land in Bodrum's Kissebükü Bay to his own company, ETS Turizm. Çömez stated that the parliamentary questions he submitted regarding the matter have been left unanswered by the Ministry for a year.

Speaking in Parliament, Balıkesir MP Turhan Çömez presented documents revealing that state lands in Kissebükü Bay, considered one of the most beautiful bays in the world, were transferred by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy to his own company.

According to the documents shared by Çömez, 95 thousand square meters of forest land were first allocated from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Subsequently, this land was transferred to ETS Turizm, which is owned by Minister Ersoy. It was determined that after becoming a minister, Ersoy had a second forest plot of 25 thousand square meters in the same region allocated to his own company using the same method.

Stating that the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report prepared for the construction of a hotel in the region was full of false information, Çömez reminded that the report was canceled by a court decision. Çömez emphasized that Neşe Çıldık, one of the bureaucrats who signed the allocation procedures, was previously brought to the Ministry from ETS Tur. As is known, regarding the fire disaster in Bolu Kartalkaya where 78 people, including 36 children, lost their lives, a request was made for permission to investigate 12 people, including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Manager of Investments and Enterprises Neşe Çıldık. The Minister did not grant permission for an investigation into Çıldık.

Çömez also stated that he had submitted a parliamentary question to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism a year ago regarding these allocations, but has not received any response to date. "The documents are clear, the allocation is clear, the signatures are clear. A minister allocating land from his own ministry to his own company is one of the greatest examples of plunder in this country," he said.
