Turkey's only city with clean air announced
According to the Black Report 2024 prepared by the Right to Clean Air Platform (THHP), Sinop was the only province in Turkey that could be described as having clean air.

The Right to Clean Air Platform (THHP) has released its Black Report 2024. When looking at PM10 averages for 2023, Sinop was identified as the only province with air quality classified as clean.
However, it was stated that because only two of the three stations in Sinop had sufficient data and the station in the city center was excluded from the calculation due to missing data, this result does not fully represent Sinop.
It was noted that one of the stations with sufficient data is a rural background station, which further lowered the PM10 average.
