A fire broke out for reasons yet to be determined in a wooded area in İstanbul's Başakşehir district. The fire spread rapidly, growing larger and engulfing the surrounding area. Eyewitnesses stated that the flames rose quickly and thick smoke blanketed the region.
EXPLOSIONS ON HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER LINES
Explosions were also reported on high-voltage power lines located near the area where the fire broke out. The explosions caused moments of fear in the area. Security measures were increased after the power lines posed a danger.
FIREFIGHTING TEAMS DISPATCHED
A large number of firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene following the alert. The teams intervened in the fire and worked to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby residential areas and other green zones. Efforts to bring the fire under control are ongoing.
