Warning from Meteorology: Heavy rain and strong winds expected

The Turkish State Meteorological Service has released its daily weather report, issuing important warnings regarding weather conditions across the country. It was stated that today, heavy rain and thunderstorms will be effective in the inner Aegean, the interior parts of the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Western and Eastern Black Sea, the coasts of the Central Black Sea, the north of Eastern Anatolia, as well as the provinces of Kocaeli, Sakarya, Osmaniye, and Hatay. Additionally, strong winds are expected in the Marmara region, the northern Aegean coasts, the interior parts of the Western and Central Black Sea, and the northeast of Central Anatolia.

REGIONS EXPECTED TO RECEIVE PRECIPITATION

Today, the northern, interior, and western regions are expected to be partly to very cloudy. The precipitation will specifically cover the inner Aegean, the interior parts of the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Western and Eastern Black Sea, the coasts of the Central Black Sea, and the north of Eastern Anatolia. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to be effective in the vicinity of Kocaeli, Sakarya, Osmaniye, and Hatay. The precipitation is forecast to be locally heavy, especially in the evening hours, in Ankara, Bolu, the southern and eastern districts of Eskişehir, and the north of Konya.

AIR TEMPERATURE

Air temperatures are expected to decrease slightly in the northern regions, while continuing to remain above seasonal norms in other areas.

STRONG WIND WARNING

The Meteorological Service warned that strong winds (at speeds of 40-70 km/h) are expected to blow, particularly in the Marmara region, the northern Aegean coasts, and the interior parts of the Western and Central Black Sea. It was stated that the wind, which is also expected to be effective in the northeast of Central Anatolia, could lead to adverse weather conditions in some places, and citizens are advised to be cautious.
