Warning to Istanbul residents from AKOM! Temperatures to drop, heavy downpours are coming

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that heavy downpours may be effective in the city until Sunday.

In a statement made by the IBB-affiliated AKOM, it was stated that the western regions of the country, especially Istanbul, have come under the influence of cool and rainy weather starting today.

The statement noted that temperatures, which have been hovering between 25-28 degrees throughout the week, will drop to the 13-17 degree range as the wind strengthens from the north at speeds of 20-50 kilometers per hour, and included the following: "It is estimated that heavy downpours will occur across the province until Sunday."
