According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers expected in the coastal areas of the Central Black Sea, the surroundings of Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Istanbul, Manisa, and Giresun, and the northern parts of Izmir; and sleet and snow expected in Central Anatolia, the Western Black Sea, the inner parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia (except Ardahan, Kars, and Erzurum), Southeastern Anatolia (except Batman and Mardin), and the surroundings of Bilecik, Yalova, Bursa, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Kütahya, Uşak, Afyonkarahisar, Isparta, Osmaniye, and Hatay. Precipitation is expected to be heavy in the Western Black Sea (except Sinop). Icing and frost, along with haze and occasional fog, are expected in the northern, inner, and eastern parts.

Air temperatures are expected to drop significantly and remain below seasonal norms across the country.

The wind is expected to blow from the south, and from the north and northwest in the northern parts of the country and the Mediterranean, generally light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) from the north and northwest in Marmara and the Western Black Sea coasts.

ORANGE ALERT FOR 3 PROVINCES, YELLOW ALERT FOR 7 PROVINCES

In the MGM report, yellow alerts were issued for Bolu, Kastamonu, Karabük, Sinop, Zonguldak, and Bartın, and orange alerts for Van, Şırnak, and Hakkari.

It is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation in the south and east of the region. Precipitation is expected to be generally rain and showers, and sleet and snow in the surroundings of Bilecik, Yalova, Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Bursa. The wind is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from the north and northwest across the region.
