Heavy downpour and snow warning from the Meteorological Service

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), the country is expected to be mostly cloudy and experience intermittent precipitation, with the exception of the Southern Aegean and the surroundings of Mardin.

It is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy, with precipitation in the southern and eastern parts as well as the surroundings of Tekirdağ. The precipitation, which is expected to be locally heavy in the eastern highlands, northern Balıkesir, and eastern Çanakkale, is forecast to fall as rain and sleet, with snow in higher elevations. The wind is expected to blow from northerly directions, strong and occasionally reaching storm force (50-80 km/h).
