According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy overall, with rain and showers expected in the Aegean and Western Mediterranean coasts, the surroundings of Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Tekirdağ, and Karabük, and the northern districts of Sakarya and Düzce, while sleet and snowfall are expected in the vicinity of Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, and Van this morning.

The precipitation is expected to be in the form of heavy showers in the vicinity of İzmir, the south of Çanakkale, and the coastal districts of Balıkesir and Aydın. Icing and frost, along with fog and mist, are expected in the northern, inner, and eastern parts. There is a risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures, which have been running below seasonal norms across the country, are expected to rise by 3 to 5 degrees.

MARMARA

It is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers in the surroundings of Tekirdağ, Çanakkale, and Balıkesir, the northern parts of Edirne and Sakarya, and the southern districts of Edirne. The precipitation is expected to be heavy in the south of Çanakkale and the coastal districts of Balıkesir. Mist and local fog are expected across the region during the morning and night hours.
