According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers expected in the surroundings of İzmir, Muğla, Manisa, and Sinop, as well as the southern parts of Edirne and the western coastal districts of Antalya, and sleet and snow expected in the surroundings of Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Rize, Artvin, Kars, and Ardahan.

Icing and frost, along with mist and occasional fog, are expected in the northern, inner, and eastern parts of the country. There is a risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea region and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to rise by 3 to 5 degrees across the country and remain below seasonal norms.

ORANGE ALERT FOR 2 CITIES

The MGM has issued an orange alert for Artvin and Rize.

WARNING FOR AVALANCHE RISK, ICING, AND FROST: Due to the risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea region and the steep and inclined slopes of eastern Eastern Anatolia, as well as the expectation of icing and frost—which may be strong in some places—in the northern, inner, and eastern parts of the country, caution and precautions should be taken against potential negative consequences.
