The General Directorate of Meteorology has released its weather forecast report for Monday, December 30. According to the report, the country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in the Mediterranean, the east and south of Central Anatolia, the coasts of the Central Black Sea, the west of Southeastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Yalova, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Denizli, Afyonkarahisar, Düzce, Zonguldak, Bartın, Amasya, Tokat, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, and Malatya, and the south of Ankara, the north of Konya, and the western parts of Erzincan, Tunceli, and Elazığ.

The precipitation is expected to be generally sleet and snow, while it is expected to be rain and showers in the Western Mediterranean coasts, Eastern Mediterranean, Central Black Sea coasts, the west of Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Kocaeli, Yalova, Sakarya, Denizli, Amasya, Tokat, Trabzon, and Rize. The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Eastern Mediterranean and the surroundings of Adıyaman, Gaziantep, and Kilis.

Icing and frost are expected in the interior and eastern parts of our country, along with mist and fog. There is an avalanche risk in the high parts of the interior of the Eastern Black Sea and on the high and steep slopes of the east of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are not expected to change significantly and are predicted to remain around seasonal norms.

WIND: It is expected to blow generally from the north, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) on the Aegean coasts.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a yellow alert for Adana, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, and Osmaniye.
