Where was the highest air pollution measured in Istanbul?
Desert dust coming from Africa has negatively affected air quality in some parts of Istanbul due to dust emissions. According to data from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Göztepe was the location with the highest air pollution in the city.

According to data from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, air pollution has become visible in Göztepe and Sultangazi.
Desert dust coming from Africa, which has been seen in the city in recent days, is negatively affecting air quality in some regions. Due to the dust emission that has also shown its effect in Istanbul, Göztepe was measured as the place with the highest air pollution.
According to data compiled from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Air Quality Measurement stations, the average particulate matter (PM10) air pollution concentration in Göztepe was measured at 174 µg/m³ (micrograms per cubic meter) as of 15:00 today.
This was followed by the Sultangazi station with 105 µg/m³ and the Esenyurt station with 97 µg/m³. While the station where air pollution was measured the least for today was Yenibosna with 19 µg/m³, particulate matter air pollution was determined as 20 µg/m³ at the Kağıthane station.
On the other hand, the effective dust emission is expected to lose its effect on Friday.
