A woman in the Bulancak district of Giresun, who took in owl chicks she found on her balcony one morning, plans to hand them over to Nature Conservation and National Parks officials once they have grown a little more.

Ayşe Dündar, who lives in the İhsaniye neighborhood of Giresun's Bulancak district, found a pair of owl chicks in a flowerpot on her balcony when she woke up one morning.

Unable to determine where they came from, Dündar stated that she called the municipal animal shelter but took on their care herself after receiving no response.

Stating that she loves the owl chicks very much and has been feeding them potatoes, Ayşe Dündar said, "We found two owl chicks perched in a flowerpot on the balcony in the morning. We saw that they were young and exhausted. We immediately checked their wings and, realizing they were not injured, we brought them inside. We saw these adorable owl chicks up close for the first time. We have been looking after them for two days and feeding them potatoes, eggs, and meat. Mashallah, they eat whatever we give them. We called many institutions to hand them over to the authorities and asked for the owls to be taken into care. We want these animals to be looked after. They are not animals to be kept at home. We are calling out to the authorities through you. Let's take care of the owls."
