Yellow alert from Meteorology for 4 cities: Downpours and strong winds expected

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with downpours and thunderstorms expected in the Taurus Mountains region of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the north of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Hatay, Kastamonu, and Sinop. Rainfall is expected to be heavy, and locally very heavy, in the surroundings of Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin during the morning hours. Haze and local fog are expected in the east of the Marmara region, the inner Aegean, the interior parts of the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, and the interior parts of the Black Sea during the morning hours.

Air temperatures are not expected to change significantly and are forecast to remain around seasonal norms across the country.

The wind is expected to blow generally from northerly directions, light to occasionally moderate, and from southerly directions in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, where it will be strong (40-60 km/h).
