Yellow alert from Meteorology for 4 cities including Istanbul: Thunderstorms will be effective

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern, inner, and western parts of our country are expected to be partly to occasionally very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the Marmara region, Northern Aegean, northern parts of Eastern Anatolia, Eastern Black Sea, the coasts of the Central Black Sea, the Taurus Mountains area of the Mediterranean Region, as well as the surroundings of Osmaniye, the western part of Hatay, Düzce, Zonguldak, and Bartın; other areas are expected to be mostly clear and sunny. The rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in Istanbul, Tekirdağ, the southern parts of Kırklareli, the eastern parts of Erzurum, and the surroundings of Kars and Ardahan.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease slightly in the northwestern and eastern parts, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

The wind is generally expected to blow from the north and northeast, and from southerly directions in the southern parts, light to occasionally moderate, and strong from westerly directions in the surroundings of Hatay.

In the Meteorology report, a yellow alert was issued for Istanbul, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli, and Kars.

It is expected to be partly to occasionally very cloudy, with intermittent local showers and thunderstorms across the region. The rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in Istanbul, Tekirdağ, and the southern parts of Kırklareli.
