Yellow and orange code warning for 35 cities from the Meteorological Service! Heavy downpours and storms are coming

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern, inner, and western parts of our country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms expected in the east of the Marmara region, the Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Western and Central Black Sea, the coasts of the Eastern Black Sea, and the surroundings of Gaziantep, Kilis, and Malatya, while other areas are expected to be partly to mostly clear.

The rainfall is expected to be heavy in the east of the Marmara region, the inner parts of the Eastern Mediterranean, the western parts of Central Anatolia, the north of Eskişehir, the surroundings of Konya, Kırşehir, Yozgat, Malatya, and Giresun, the south and east of Kayseri, the inner parts of Antalya, the east of Isparta, the surroundings of Çankırı and Karabük, the southern parts of Bolu, and the coastal parts of Hatay; and very heavy and severe in the Western Black Sea coasts, the Central Black Sea, the north of Kocaeli, the surroundings of Sakarya, the northern parts of Bolu, and the west of Ordu. Light dust transport is expected in the Southeastern Anatolia region starting from the afternoon hours.

Air temperatures, which are currently hovering around seasonal norms, are expected to drop significantly starting tomorrow (Saturday) in the northern and western parts, falling below seasonal norms.

The wind is expected to blow generally from northerly directions, and from southerly directions in the southeastern and eventually eastern parts of the country, light to occasionally moderate in strength, and locally strong (50-70 km/h) from northerly directions in the Central Black Sea coasts, the Aegean coasts, and the Marmara region.
