Yellow-coded warning from Meteorology for 30 cities: Heavy downpours are coming, temperatures to drop by 7 degrees!

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology; it is estimated that the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Black Sea, the north and west of Eastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Gaziantep, Kilis, and the eastern parts of Van will experience rain and thunderstorms. The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Inner Aegean, the inland parts of the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the south of Edirne, Çanakkale, Adana, Osmaniye, the surroundings of Çorum and Tokat, and the western parts of Hatay. The wind is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from northerly directions in Marmara, the North Aegean coasts, and the west of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 5 to 7 degrees in the western parts, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

The wind is expected to blow generally from the north, and from the south in the eastern parts of the country, light to occasionally moderate, and strongly (40-60 km/h) in Marmara, the North Aegean coasts, and the west of Eastern Anatolia.

MARMARA

It is estimated that the region will be partly to eventually very cloudy, with intermittent rain and thunderstorms throughout the region. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the south of Edirne and the surroundings of Çanakkale. The wind is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from northerly directions.
