ABB dump truck with brake failure hits two trucks, 2 workers lose their lives
In Ankara's Keçiören district, a dump truck belonging to the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) struck two other dump trucks due to a failure in its braking system. Two workers lost their lives in the accident.

The incident occurred in the Bağlum neighborhood of Ankara's Keçiören district. During road opening work, a dump truck belonging to ABB with license plate 06 DV 4311, driven by Ömer Sütçü, suffered a failure in its brake system. The truck rolled downhill, first hitting a dump truck with license plate 06 COS 880 driven by Emre Çelik, and then hitting a dump truck with license plate 06 DU 7291.
As a result of the collision, a fire broke out in the vehicles. Upon notification, numerous fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Despite all interventions by medical teams, Ömer Sütçü and Emre Çelik lost their lives in the accident.
The bodies were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy procedures, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
Speaking about the accident, eyewitness Atilla Tüter said, "The vehicle coming from above had its brakes blow out due to excessive load.
When it hit the first vehicle, it pushed the first vehicle off the road; it then hit the second vehicle and overturned it. A fire broke out after it overturned.
Unfortunately, the friends inside burned to death. May God not let this happen to anyone; it is a difficult sector. This load needs to be removed from Ankara; the tonnage needs to stop coming into Ankara. Citizens arrived after the accident. No one could reach them anyway; the friends inside had already passed away by burning," he said.
