Following the statement made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli at his group meeting, 'Let Öcalan come and announce at the TBMM podium that the PKK has been abolished. As a result, let him benefit from the right to hope,' the ringleader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, had called on the organization to "lay down arms and dissolve itself."
While this call resonated in Turkey, a notable development also occurred in Syria, where the terrorist organization SDF integrated into the new administration in accordance with the agreement it signed with the Damascus administration.
During this process, Nefes columnist Nuray Babacan, who shared important insider information regarding the future of the organization, evaluated the events occurring during the liquidation process of the terrorist organization PKK.
TIMING CRISIS WITHIN THE PKK
Drawing attention to the divisions within the organization, Babacan said, "There is a problem in ensuring the organization acts as a whole." Stating that the liquidation process is finalized but some issues are still being clarified, Babacan provided the following information regarding the congress date:
"It may not be ready by the end of March, but an official statement from the organization could come in April. There is no turning back after this point, but the process may proceed with a different timing. The location of the congress is a major subject of debate within the organization. However, it is stated that Kobani stands out in this regard."
IRAN AND ISRAEL-BACKED GROUPS ARE RESISTING
Including claims that different wings within the organization are complicating the process, Babacan stated that some structures, particularly those linked to Iran and Israel, are opposing this liquidation process by creating excuses.
In this context, the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), known as the Iranian wing of the PKK, announced that it would dissolve itself in compliance with Öcalan's call. It was stated that this announcement is interpreted as meaning that Öcalan's call covers not only the PKK but also the PYD and YPG.
IS THE LIQUIDATION OF THE PKK 'PART OF A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN'?
All these developments have strengthened claims that the terrorist ringleader Öcalan's call, the dissolution of the PKK, the agreement between the SDF and the Syrian administration, and the opening process were actually designed as a whole.
According to the insider information conveyed by Babacan, the process is continuing at an accelerated pace. As the dissolution of the terrorist organization PKK and the new restructuring process in the region take shape together, new statements from the organization are expected in the coming weeks.
