Enraged son-in-law puts father-in-law in hospital
In Antalya, a son-in-law who followed his wife after she left home and returned to her parents' house got into an argument with his father-in-law and put him in hospital. The man, whose head was slammed into a window pane by his son-in-law, required 13 stitches, while the son-in-law was released on the orders of the prosecutor after giving his statement at the gendarmerie station.

The incident took place on the night of Saturday, August 10, in the Büğüş neighborhood of Serik district. According to allegations, R.S.A., who had been married for 6 months, left her home due to a disagreement with her husband, H.A., and returned to her father's house. A fight broke out between the son-in-law, who arrived at his father-in-law's house one day after the incident, and his father-in-law.
During the scuffle, the father-in-law, Hasan Ali Karakorkmaz, was injured in various parts of his body and hospitalized. Stating that his son-in-law slammed his head into the window, breaking the glass, and tried to cut his throat with the broken glass, Karakorkmaz said, "My uncle's son took me to the hospital. I almost died from blood loss. I received 13 stitches on my body at the hospital."

Stating that he has not been able to go home for 2 days following the incident and that the lives of his daughter and son are in danger, Karakorkmaz said, "My daughter R.S.A. has been subjected to psychological pressure by her husband for 3 months. My daughter called me and asked me to pick her up, crying.
I went and picked up my daughter from their house without any coercion. Her husband sent a message to my daughter the next day saying, 'Don't come home.' That's why I didn't want to send my daughter back. The next day, around 00:35, he called me and said, 'Where are you, come outside.' I waited in my house and did not go out. Everyone was asleep in the house at that moment. H.A. arrived at the house around 00:45," he said.

Claiming that H.A. attacked him as soon as the door was opened, Karakorkmaz said, "My daughter opened the door, and I was next to her. The individual attacked me directly. He grabbed my collar and slammed my head into the hallway window 2 or 3 times, breaking the glass. He tried to cut my throat with the broken glass on the floor. My sister tried to save me. Later, my uncle's son rushed me to the hospital. I almost died from blood loss.
I received 13 stitches on my body at the hospital. After the incident, when I watched the camera recording from their own house, I saw my son-in-law, H.A., tearing his own clothes and trying to slander me. The incident was reported to the prosecutor's office as a simple assault. My son and daughter are in danger. I expect the authorities to provide security regarding this matter. I have been staying at my sister's house for 2 days. I cannot go home because there will be trouble," he stated.
On the other hand, it was learned that H.A., who returned to his home after the incident, was released on the instructions of the prosecutor's office after giving his statement at the gendarmerie station.
