Eren Kaşıkçı laid to rest in his hometown of Tokat
The funeral of renowned chef Eren Kaşıkçı, who was found dead in his home in Sarıyer, was sent to his hometown of Tokat following a ceremony held in Sancaktepe.

37-year-old MasterChef 2021 champion Eren Kaşıkçı, who lived alone in his home in Kilyos, Sarıyer, and had not been heard from for 2 days, was found dead in his home.
Following the investigation, it was learned that Kaşıkçı had passed away, and his body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
After the autopsy was completed, the famous chef's body was received by his family. Kaşıkçı was sent off to his hometown of Tokat to be buried following the funeral prayer held at the Sancaktepe Yenidoğan Cemevi after the afternoon prayer.
Acun Ilıcalı, Chef Somer Sivrioğlu, Mehmet Yalçınkaya, his friends, and many of his loved ones attended the funeral.
