Famous actor Ufuk Özkan, who became etched in memories with his role as Cevahir in the hit series Geniş Aile, had been diagnosed with cirrhosis due to an incorrect diet he followed, but his treatment yielded positive results after the difficult days he went through.
Özkan divorced Nazan Güneş, whom he married in 2005, in a single hearing 2 years ago.
Most recently, Özkan has come to the agenda with the 'alimony' issue he is experiencing with his ex-wife.
Stating that he cannot work long hours due to the health problems he experienced, Özkan expressed that he now only performs in theater plays.
Saying that he does not earn enough money to pay the amount determined for alimony, the famous actor noted the following, stating that he had filed a lawsuit to reduce the alimony:
"I DON'T EARN 114 THOUSAND TL, HOW CAN I PAY"
"I cannot live minimally. As you know, I divorced 2 years ago. My alimony increased from 45 thousand TL to 74 thousand TL. Now it has become 114 thousand TL. I don't earn 114 thousand TL a month, how am I supposed to pay the alimony? I have already filed a lawsuit to reduce the alimony. Even if I didn't spend a single penny, I couldn't pay this amount."
"I AM NOT DOING TV SERIES, MY INCOME HAS DROPPED"
The 49-year-old Özkan, who stated that he does not do TV series for the sake of his health and that this has caused a significant drop in his income, spoke as follows:
"I am doing theater. My income has naturally dropped significantly compared to the periods when I worked in TV series.
I am not doing TV series for my health. After what I went through, I understood the value of my health much better.
I am not someone who goes out and socializes much in my private life either. I am a man who goes from work to home and from home to work. Even in the places we go for my theater play, I don't go out much. I go from the hotel to the play."
