In the first month of the new year, upward price movements stood out in the real estate market. According to an assessment based on listing data, the average price increase for residential apartments alone was recorded at 3.36 percent in January.
SQUARE METER PRICES ROSE ACROSS TURKEY
According to the data, the average residential square meter sales price across Turkey rose to the level of 37 thousand 504 TL. The figures revealed that the upward trend in housing prices continued in the first month of the year and that market activity remained ongoing.
PRICE INCREASE IN ISTANBUL DREW ATTENTION
A significant price increase was also experienced in Istanbul, the city most preferred by housing investors.
According to the news report in Türkiye Gazetesi, the average square meter sales price, which was 56 thousand 631 TL in December 2025, rose to 59 thousand 179 TL as of January 2026.
In Istanbul, a 4.5 percent increase was recorded in housing prices on a monthly basis in January. This rate showed that the price movement in the mega-city was above the Turkey average.
