Journalist Fatih Altaylı shared striking information regarding the process of Prof. Dr. Serap Yazıcı Özbudun joining the AKP.
According to Altaylı, it is alleged that the AKP made an offer to Yazıcı, telling her, "You will write the new Constitution; it will be your masterpiece."
This sudden change by Yazıcı, who was known for her critical stance and had previously stated that it was impossible to debate the constitution with AKP members, has resonated in legal and political circles.
Altaylı also included in his column the meetings that legal experts held with Yazıcı.
A group of legal experts, including members from the Association of Democratic Lawyers, visited Yazıcı and proposed organizing a law summit in Ankara and holding a meeting that would contribute to the new constitution discussions.
During the meeting, it was brought up that some AKP-affiliated legal experts and advisors at the Presidential Palace could also attend the meeting.
