Ali Yerlikaya sets a date for TikTok: 'After the holiday...'

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made notable statements at an iftar program held in the Kiremithane neighborhood of Adana.

Yerlikaya gave clear messages regarding dangerous posts made especially on the TikTok platform, signaling that they would initiate a new operation process after the Ramadan Feast.

Speaking after the iftar program attended by the city protocol, Yerlikaya gave a message of unity and solidarity to the people of Adana, while also addressing those who share illegal content on social media.

Targeting those who show weapons and videos promoting drugs, especially on TikTok, Yerlikaya stated that they would take strict steps against these individuals after the holiday.

"THOSE WHO POST WITH WEAPONS AND DRUGS SHOULD KNOW THIS"

Yerlikaya included the following statements in his speech:

"Thanks to the people of Adana who abide by the law and order and respect the statutes, our fight against evil is getting stronger every day. But I am saying it here for those who post with weapons and drugs on platforms like TikTok: We will all see together what will happen after the holiday."

"61 THOUSAND 500 PEOPLE ARRESTED, AND IT WILL INCREASE FURTHER"

Minister Yerlikaya also touched upon the anti-drug operations carried out since June 4, 2023. Stating that they are determined in the fight against every link of the drug chain, from the street-level dealer to the kingpin, Yerlikaya announced that 61 thousand 500 people have been arrested so far.

Stating that the average daily number of arrests is 117, Yerlikaya emphasized that they have further developed their operational techniques and used the following words:

"We have developed such techniques and such methods that we will pin them down with the heroic courage of our colleagues. See it after the holiday. We have not the slightest hesitation about any of them."
