In this context, the prosecutor's statement of Cihan Şensözlü, nicknamed "Cihanna," who was arrested, has been reflected in the public domain.
"I DID NOT ENCOURAGE PROSTITUTION, I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF DRUGS"
According to the report by Dilek Yaman Demir, Şensözlü said in his statement to the prosecutor that he traveled for invitations abroad, venue openings, and hotel launches due to his role as a columnist. Şensözlü stated that he did not introduce famous people he knew to others in exchange for money, nor did he act as an intermediary by receiving gifts, valuables, or jewelry.
Emphasizing in his statement that he did not encourage anyone to engage in prostitution, Şensözlü stated that he did not provide any facilitation or mediation in this regard. He expressed that he did not receive any requests from businesspeople or celebrities to be introduced to women, and if any such requests were made, they were intended as jokes.
Defending that he had no knowledge regarding drugs, Şensözlü said he did not attend after-parties. He added to his statement that he did not meet with individuals who have arrest warrants in Dubai, did not bring any information from these individuals, and did not receive any gift items.
EXPLANATION REGARDING DETENTION IN QATAR
Touching upon the detention process he experienced in Qatar about three to four weeks ago, Şensözlü stated that this was not due to prostitution or his attire. He explained that four plainclothes police officers approached him while he was entering an entertainment venue, and he was released shortly after it was mentioned that his bag was a bag intended for women.
Stating that Kasım Garipoğlu is a well-known name in the business world, Şensözlü noted that he frequently organized parties and that he knew who attended these parties.
He said that drugs might have been used at the parties, but he had no direct personal knowledge of this. Şensözlü stated that people might have met and engaged in sexual intercourse at these organizations, but that he could explain the details as he remembers them later.
