ASAL Research prepared a survey by asking citizens about the minimum wage raise. According to the survey, 64.7 percent of participants found the raise insufficient.

In the survey conducted with a total of 1,800 people, participants were asked the question, "Do you think the minimum wage of 22,104 TL announced for 2025 is sufficient?"

According to the survey results, a significant portion of participants find the determined minimum wage insufficient in the face of the rising cost of living.

The rate of those who find the minimum wage sufficient remained at 18.2 percent. A 17.1 percent segment expressed no opinion.

Another question posed to participants in the survey was, "When you think about your daily life, would you say that the Turkish economy in general is heading in a good or bad direction?"

23.3 percent of participants answered this question as 'the economy is heading in a good direction'.

16.2 percent did not express an opinion on the question.

The rate of those who think the economy is heading in a bad direction was 60.5 percent.

RETIREES WERE ALSO ASKED

The survey also asked about the 15.75 percent raise for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees for 2025, which set the lowest pension at 14,469 TL.

While the rate of those saying yes, it is sufficient, was recorded at 13.5 percent, 71.6 percent gave the answer no, it is insufficient. The rate of those who did not provide an answer was 14.9 percent.
