Assets of tender-rich Mehmet Cengiz revealed: How millions of liras went to England

İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez spoke at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

Çömez explained the results of his research, which he conducted following President Erdoğan's past remarks: "Europe is hungry and miserable. Everything is fine in our country."

ALLEGATION REGARDING ENGLAND FROM ÇÖMEZ

Çömez claimed that billions of liras in investments were made at an address called "Hiscrown Residence" in Cyprus and that these funds were transferred to England.

Alleging that the person who carried out the money transfer was the then-Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yasin Ekrem Serim, Çömez said that massive real estate and land were purchased in England with these funds.

Çömez claimed that the address for these investments is the same as that of the accountant for Mehmet Cengiz, who is known for the tenders he has received from the AKP government.

Çömez stated, "When I looked into Mehmet Cengiz, because it is legal there, meaning it is legal to access that information and those documents. Mehmet Cengiz also bought billions of liras worth of real estate in London. You gave him and other members of the 'Gang of Five' 240 billion dollars in tenders over 22 years, and you granted tax breaks 128 times. Mehmet Cengiz also took and bought billions of liras worth of real estate in London. At the address of Mehmet Cengiz's accountant, the person who was Turkey's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs also bought hundreds of millions of liras worth of real estate, and he is currently an ambassador in the place where he has these massive, multi-billion lira investments."

"I am announcing this to all of Turkey. Let all of Turkey talk about these scandals, these corruptions, these allegations, these funds smuggled out of Turkey, this love for England, and these real estate properties purchased on royal lands. While the children of this nation go to bed hungry at night, let this country talk about those living in such debauchery," said Çömez, calling on all of Turkey to bring these issues to the agenda.

Turhan Çömez's speech is as follows:

"A compensation lawsuit. It concluded today. Actually, I felt the need to share it because it concerns the entire public and the parliament.

A compensation lawsuit filed against me was for 250,000 liras and it was rejected. What was the reason?

The reason was this: Mr. Erdoğan had made a statement in past years. Later, repeating this statement, he had said: 'Europe is hungry and miserable. Everything is fine in our country.'"

"I RESEARCHED WHO MADE WHAT KIND OF INVESTMENTS IN THIS MISERABLE EUROPE"

I took this remark very seriously and, upon that, I did some research to see who made what kind of investments in this 'miserable' Europe.

My research led me to very interesting places. One of them is Cyprus. This address called 'His Crown Residence'.

Billions in investments were made here, billions of liras in investments were made at this address.

Hundreds of millions of liras were taken and transferred to England.

"CENGİZ'S COMPANIES ARE AT THE ADDRESS"

It was transferred to an address. When I researched this address, I encountered a very interesting fact.

At this address, there are also the companies of Mehmet Cengiz, who is always talked about in the public eye as being one of the members of the 'Gang of Five'.

Well, who made this transfer of hundreds of millions of liras from Cyprus? Yasin Ekrem Serim.

He has served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country, and at the same time, he has owned massive companies in Cyprus.

It had been discussed in this parliament that he was involved in joint business with certain mafia leaders there. So, what did he do with this hundreds of millions of liras?

He bought massive lands in England, he bought massive real estate.

But very interestingly, the address of the company where he bought massive real estate is the same address as Mehmet Cengiz's accountant.

I questioned these real estate properties, these hundreds of millions, billions of liras worth of real estate, these shared addresses, and the court said:

'You are a politician, you can talk about these, we are not ruling for compensation against you,' it said.

I am announcing this to all of Turkey. Let all of Turkey talk about these scandals, these corruptions, these allegations, these funds smuggled out of Turkey, this love for England, and these real estate properties purchased on royal lands.

While the children of this nation go to bed hungry at night, let this country talk about those living in such debauchery. Do not be afraid, because the court said, 'There is nothing to be afraid of, you can talk.'
