Banu Alkan's day of sorrow

Osman Alkan (65) lost his life as a result of a traffic accident in the Altınkum neighborhood of the Edremit district in Balıkesir.

A funeral prayer was held for Alkan at the Altınoluk Village Mosque following the afternoon prayer.

The funeral was attended by Osman Alkan's sister, the famous artist Banu Alkan, as well as family members and loved ones.

Emotional moments were experienced during the burial, and Banu Alkan was seen unable to hold back her tears.

Banu Alkan, who lost her brother, said, "He was my diamond. I lost my diamond, I lost my angel.

I lost my greatest protector in the world. He was the one who gave me the greatest love, a dream who was by my side throughout my life.

He has three children, Kerem and Melis. My dear."

Banu Alkan stated that she had last spoken to her brother two days ago, saying, "Two days ago he said, 'Come, sister, come.' I said, 'I promise, I am coming.' I both missed him and we have a lot of work in Altınoluk regarding the house and the decoration.

I came, but I came like this. A young person we never expected. It happened too soon, this death did not suit him at all, it did not suit him at all." Osman Alkan's body was laid to rest in the Altınoluk village cemetery following the funeral prayer.
