It has been revealed that the Black and Whites did not want Arda Kardeşler, who drew significant backlash for making serious errors during the derby, to officiate their matches and had conveyed this request to the Central Referee Committee (MHK) approximately one month ago.
MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu had given a special presentation on September 25 at the invitation of the Union of Clubs. During this presentation held at the Union of Clubs Foundation, Gündoğdu provided detailed information to club presidents and executives on many topics, primarily the new administrative structure within the MHK, referee training, performance evaluation methods, and appointments.
It was reported that Beşiktaş executives complained to Ferhat Gündoğdu about 6 specific referees during the meeting.
It emerged that the Black and Whites informed Gündoğdu that they found 6 referees, including Arda Kardeşler, to be inadequate and did not want to see them in their matches.
However, despite this clear stance from Beşiktaş, the MHK appointed Arda Kardeşler to the Galatasaray derby.
Even the red card Kardeşler issued to Djiku in the first half of the derby played between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe at Rams Park last season could not prevent this appointment.
According to the report in Fanatik, it was stated that the Black and Whites will hold a new meeting with the MHK, which did not take their requests regarding the 6 referees, primarily Arda Kardeşler, into account.
Beşiktaş had also previously announced its opinion on social media that Arda Kardeşler should hang up his whistle.
