Four people lost their lives in an accident where a car plunged into a ravine in the Doğanşar district of Sivas. The bodies, which were found 6 hours after the accident, were recovered after hours of arduous work.

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred near the Karacakaya hamlet of Karkın village in the Doğanşar district.

A report made to the 112 Emergency Call Center stated that a car with 4 people inside had plunged into a ravine from a height of approximately 250 meters. Upon the report, health and rescue teams were dispatched to the region. The teams that arrived at the scene encountered 2 bodies inside the vehicle that had plunged into the approximately 250-meter ravine.

During the search conducted in the surrounding area, two more bodies that had been ejected from the overturned vehicle were found. AFAD teams initiated an operation to recover the bodies from the ravine. The teams, who managed to descend to the bodies with the help of ropes, succeeded in bringing the bodies up from the ravine to the road after hours of arduous work.

According to the information obtained, the incident took place around 14:00. Mehmet İncir (70) left the Doğanşar State Hospital at noon with his vehicle bearing the license plate 07 SAL 33 and set off for the Karacakaya hamlet. İncir, as well as Halil Karamuk, Ayşe Karamuk, and Arife Arslan, who were in the vehicle, did not arrive at their homes, where they were expected around 14:00.

Their relatives then began searching for them. During the search conducted along the route, it was realized around 19:50 that the vehicle had plunged into the ravine, and help was requested. The accident was thus discovered approximately 6 hours later.
