Bought potatoes, got a 'duck' instead!

Turan Baran, who lives in the Esenyurt neighborhood of Yüksekova, Hakkari, bought potatoes and onions from the market for the winter.

Baran brought the potatoes and onions he bought home and spread them out on a cloth with his wife to dry and clean them, but he noticed a different potato among them.

Baran stated that after taking the unusual potato out from among the others and examining it, he realized it looked exactly like a duck.

Baran stated that he would preserve the potato in every way and use it as an ornament in his home.

Stating that he was both happy and surprised, Baran Turan said, "As you know, the winter season has started, and we have begun to buy our winter supplies. I bought the potatoes and onions sold at the market and brought them home. While we were pouring them onto the cloth with my wife, we saw that one of them was very different. I looked at it a bit and examined it; I can truly say it looks exactly like a duck.

I was actually both happy and surprised by this situation. I will preserve it and display it in my home,” he said.
