BREAKING NEWS... Major tension at Beşiktaş Divan meeting: Hasan Arat punched!

Former Beşiktaş president Hasan Arat made statements at the black-and-white club's 2025 1st ordinary Divan Board meeting. Speaking at the meeting held at the ICEC İstanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center-Anadolu Auditorium, Arat said the following:

"For 4.5 months, all kinds of slander, insults, and all sorts of things about our family and children were said from these platforms, and no one spoke up. If I were afraid today, I wouldn't have come here. You put me 17th on the list of speakers. That is no problem for me at all."

"I came to the presidency on December 3, 2023, with the votes cast by Beşiktaş general assembly members. I left my post 361 days after we received our mandate on December 5. I left with sincere farewells that many people would not be fortunate enough to receive. I said I needed to go, and I went. I wanted to leave for personal reasons. Everyone wanted me to leave life as soon as possible, but thank God my results are coming back good. I did not want to express an opinion on the eve of the election and stir up trouble for Beşiktaş."

"They think they can silence me and my colleagues with lynchings on social media. I will not recount what we did during our term. Serdal Bey already explained some of them a moment ago. The work done is correct; there is a continuity in these works. After they said 'they seized Beşiktaş's assets,' they pressed the button. I said we were being threatened; no one spoke up. I remained silent, but this silence was not an acceptance. Speaking would have been a torment for me. Sometimes words are not enough."

"They say 100 million dollars of Beşiktaş has disappeared. The president explained it. The number one cancer of Beşiktaş is interest. They said Beşiktaş's debt doubled in 11 months. There is no such thing. As I remained silent, others spread slander outside. I protected Beşiktaş and my health first."

There is a difference of 212 thousand Euros between us. The roof was also built by a French company. Two companies submitted bids. One was 1 million 195 thousand, the other 950 thousand Euros.
