The grave of Cem Garipoğlu, who murdered Münevver Karabulut in Istanbul 15 years ago, was opened by the decision of the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The samples taken for DNA testing were returned to his grave following analysis at the Council of Forensic Medicine. His mother, Tülay Makbule Garipoğlu, was also present during the burial.

The samples taken for DNA analysis from the opened grave of Cem Garipoğlu, who committed suicide in prison in 2014 after murdering Münevver Karabulut in Istanbul 15 years ago, have been returned to his grave.
Tülay Makbule Garipoğlu, the mother of Cem Garipoğlu, who did not attend the cemetery during the exhumation process, was present this time during the reburial.
Following the "exhumation" decision by the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the samples taken from the grave opened on October 3 were brought to Cem Garipoğlu's grave at Karacaahmet Cemetery to be returned after the completion of the examination at the Council of Forensic Medicine.
Before the burial process, precautions were taken by surrounding the cemetery area with barriers and pulling a security tape.
Samples belonging to the body of Cem Garipoğlu, which were brought by a funeral transport vehicle, were placed into the grave dug by municipal teams.
Cem Garipoğlu's mother, Tülay Makbule Garipoğlu, was also present during the exhumation.
