ChatGPT's YKS score has been revealed: Which universities could it get into?

A total of 3 million 36 thousand 945 people applied for the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) organized by ÖSYM.

An individual who attempted to cheat using artificial intelligence during the YKS exams held on June 8-9 and was subsequently arrested has become a trending topic on social media.

M.E.E. (23), who was arrested after being caught cheating on the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) in Isparta using a device and an artificial intelligence-assisted application he had set up, claimed in his statement that he resorted to this method to get into medical school.

It was learned that M.E.E. said in his statement, "My dream was to get into medical school, I could not achieve this. I am very regretful for cheating."

Following the event that dominated the agenda, content creator Behçet Yalın Özkara had ChatGPT-4o solve the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) questions and announced the scores it received and the universities it could qualify for. ChatGPT-4o's exam performance became a subject of curiosity.

ChatGPT-4o scored 28.75 net in Turkish, 16.25 net in Social Sciences, 2.5 net in Mathematics, and 5 net in Science on the TYT exam.

In the Field Proficiency Test (AYT), they achieved a net score of 36.25 in the Social Sciences 1 test, 35 in the Social Sciences 2 test, and a perfect score in the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge test.

They scored -5 net in AYT Mathematics and 2.5 net in Science.

In line with these results, ChatGPT-4o achieved a score of 347 in Equal Weight, 469 in Verbal, and 239 in Quantitative.

With these scores, ChatGPT-4o, with its Equal Weight score, would qualify for Business Administration at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University,

Anadolu University Economics,

With their verbal score, they can be admitted to the History department at METU and the Turkish Language and Literature department at Boğaziçi University.
