"I panicked and lost my ability to think"

The murder suspect F.İ., who was caught as a result of the meticulous work of the İzmir Provincial Police Department teams, described the day of the incident in his statement at the police station. Stating that he and Mihriban Yılmaz had an argument inside the car, the suspect claimed that he panicked when the young woman threatened him. In his statement, F.İ. said, "I tried to take her phone, she didn't give it to me and tried to get out of the car. When she threatened me by saying her older brothers would kill me, I panicked completely and lost my ability to think. My intention was not to harm her; I was just trying to prevent her from getting out because of the problems I would face. During this, I pulled her toward me with one hand and covered her mouth with the other so she wouldn't scream."

"When I realized she was dead, I buried her in the forest"
