CHP Erdoğan poll: Received positively within the party

The decision to stand for President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan upon his arrival at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly has sparked varying reactions within the CHP group.
While some CHP deputies did not enter the General Assembly, 6 of the approximately 60 deputies inside did not stand up. This situation, which caused controversy within the party, was brought to the agenda of the CHP Central Executive Board (MYK).
According to a report by Cumhuriyet, the results of a survey on the matter were presented to CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) members during a meeting held in Hatay.
According to the survey, 92 percent of AKP voters view Erdoğan being welcomed with a standing ovation positively, while 95 percent of MHP voters support the CHP's stance on this issue.
While 38 percent of CHP voters criticized this situation, it was noted that the strongest reaction to Erdoğan being welcomed while standing came from Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA) voters, at 60 percent.
Evaluating the survey results, CHP officials stated that normalization efforts are received positively by the public when the right communication is established with voters.
It was stated that the staff members declared, "We can lead Turkey out of the polarization it is trapped in. We want to be in power, and we cannot achieve different results by trying the same things. We want to change the outcomes."
