Concrete mixer loses control, causing tragedy: 2 dead, 6 injured
In Başakşehir, a concrete mixer lost control and struck 4 vehicles in a chain-reaction accident, resulting in 2 deaths and 6 injuries.

The accident occurred around 19:30 on the Mahmutbey road in the Başak neighborhood of Başakşehir. According to the information obtained, theconcrete mixer with license plate 34 KCA 280, traveling in the direction of Bağcılar-Cebeci, lost control,colliding with two vehiclestraveling in the same direction beforecrossing over themedian.The concrete mixer
struck a light commercial vehicle with license plate 06 BUS 093 traveling in the opposite lane, and thenoverturned onto a pickup truck with license plate 34 FOR 466. In the accident involving five vehicles,
Yalçın Tınaz (46) and Emel Tınaz (40), who were in the light commercial vehicle,lost their lives.Yasin B. (25), Gamze B. (26), Hasan K. (60), Turan A. (55), Semih K. (35), and the driver of the pickup truck, who were in the other vehicles, were injured.Following thereport,
police, numerous fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the policesecured the area, fire crews rescued the injured trapped in the vehicles and handed them over to medical teams. The injured were taken to nearby hospitalsafter receiving initialtreatment.It was learned that the injured individuals undergoing treatment at the hospitals are not in life-threatening condition.Traffic came to a complete standstill due to the accident.Following the investigation at the scene, the bodies of Yalçın Tınaz and Emel Tınaz were transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute. Traffic flow was restored in a controlled manneronce the vehicles involved in the accident were removed. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
