Date set: A new era begins at ATMs! Withdrawal limits will change
Citizens in need of cash during the Eid al-Adha holiday rushed to ATMs due to banks being closed. Following the cash shortages experienced at ATMs, a new regulation will be implemented after the holiday. So, what will change at ATMs after the holiday? Here are the details...

Due to the Eid al-Adha holiday that began on June 16, banks held their final business hours on Friday.
As branches are closed until Thursday, citizens turned to ATMs to meet their cash needs.
The rise in sacrificial animal prices to a minimum of 15 thousand liras has left people facing difficulties while withdrawing cash from ATMs.
Since most banks have set the daily cash withdrawal limit at 10 thousand liras, those wishing to withdraw 15 thousand liras have had to pay high commissions for the remaining amount.
LARGE BANKNOTES WILL NOW REPLACE SMALLER DENOMINATIONS
Banks, struggling to meet the demand for cash at ATMs, are being limited to the largest banknote, the 200 lira note.
Many private banks have closed the deposit and withdrawal slots for 10 and 20 lira banknotes in their ATMs, reserving these sections exclusively for 200 lira notes.
ATM WITHDRAWAL LIMIT IS INCREASING
However, this change did not completely solve the problem. After the holiday, many private banks are planning to increase their daily withdrawal limits.
The daily cash withdrawal limit, currently at 10 thousand liras, will be increased to 20 thousand liras, while the 7 thousand 500 lira limit will be raised to 15 thousand liras.
With the new period, this increase in ATM cash withdrawal limits by banks will be implemented across all 81 provinces in Turkey, responding to individuals' cash needs more quickly and effectively.
