Death separates young couple married six months ago
In Burdur, a young woman died and her husband was injured after their car lost control and struck an electric pole on the median. The truck driver, who allegedly caused the accident by cutting off the car, was taken to the police station to provide a statement.

The accident occurred around 01:00 on Bülent Ecevit Boulevard in the Emek neighborhood. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 20 SE 787, driven by Orhan Y. (22), struck an electric pole on the median after the driver lost steering control.
While the car's driver was injured in the accident, his wife, Rabia Yalçın (23), who was a passenger in the vehicle, lost her life at the scene.
Upon notification of the accident, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the location.
The injured driver was taken to Burdur State Hospital by ambulance following initial intervention by medical teams. After an examination by the teams, Rabia Yalçın's body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy.
Rabia Yalçın's relatives, who arrived at the scene upon hearing the news of the accident, suffered nervous breakdowns. The driver of the truck with license plate 55 BZ 360, who allegedly caused the accident by cutting off the car at the time of the incident, was taken to the police station to provide a statement. Meanwhile, it was learned that the young couple, who were married last August, had used the same car in their wedding.
An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
