After failing to reach an agreement on a rent increase with her tenant, who pays 5 thousand liras in rent, Akalın decided to put her house up for sale. In a statement on social media, she confirmed her decision and shared her views on rent increase rates.

Stating that the current rental value of the house is 35 thousand TL, Akalın clearly expressed her reaction by saying, "We didn't buy these houses for you to live in for free, the guy has basically occupied my house!"
