General Director of Cinema Birol Güven released a statement regarding Çelik's funeral ceremony.
Güven used the following expressions in his statement:
"The funeral details for Vural Çelik have been finalized. He will be laid to rest at Kilyos Cemetery following the funeral prayer to be held tomorrow (October 19), Saturday, at the Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque after the noon prayer."
