The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to share with the public the list of companies confirmed to have engaged in imitation and adulteration during its inspections across Turkey.
In these inspections conducted to ensure food safety and raise consumer awareness, it was determined that many products were not natural or were being sold with altered ingredients.
The Ministry has announced the companies engaged in imitation and adulteration across a wide range of products, including honey, olive oil, sucuk, and lahmacun.
It has been determined that these companies used chemical substances, low-quality raw materials, and imitation elements in their products.
Here are the companies that endanger public health:
Olive Oil: Seed oils were mixed into the cold-pressed olive oil of the brand Olive Oil in Edremit, a city famous for its olive oil production. The prices of the brand, which is frequently seen on market shelves, are almost as high as the original products.
Elif Cafe: Seed oils were mixed into the 5-liter extra virgin olive oil of Elif Cafe, which produces in Koçarlı, Aydın, under the name Yeni Foça.
Naturel Olive Oil Bursa: In Bursa, another city famous for its olive oil production, the Egelim Naturel Olive Oil brand mixed seed oil into its 5-liter product.
