Discount restriction for Istanbulkart student cards for those aged 30 and over

At the final meeting of the month held by the IMM Assembly on July 11, an age limit of 30 was introduced for student discounts on Istanbulkart usage, and it was decided that the discount for these student card holders would be 10 percent.

According to the new tariff, the monthly subscription fee for student card holders aged 30 and over will be 1,412 liras.

During the IMM Assembly meeting, a proposal for 3 months of free public transportation support for job seekers was also accepted.

At the meeting, a proposal was accepted to increase the full electronic ticket fare by 13 percent from 17.70 liras to 20 liras, the student ticket from 8.64 liras to 9.76 liras, the student monthly subscription fee from 250 liras to 282.5 liras, and the full subscription fee from 1,389 liras to 1,569 liras.

With the new price hike, the fare on the Marmaray has been increased from 39.18 Turkish Lira to 46.94 Turkish Lira.

The maximum distance fare for the Metrobus has increased from 26.27 Turkish Lira to 29.68 Turkish Lira.

The minimum fare for minibuses for distances up to 4 kilometers has increased by 16 percent from 15.50 Turkish Liras to 18 Turkish Liras; for distances between 4-7 kilometers from 16.50 to 19 Turkish Liras; for 7-11 kilometers from 18 to 20 Turkish Liras; for 11-15 kilometers from 18.50 to 21 Turkish Liras; for 15-20 kilometers from 20 to 22.5 Turkish Liras, while the student fare has increased by 20 percent from 10 to 12 Turkish Liras.

In maritime transport between Üsküdar and Eminönü, the fare has been increased by 13 percent from 22.42 Turkish Lira to 25.33 Turkish Lira; the Kadıköy-Eminönü fare from 24.98 to 28.23 Turkish Lira; the Kadıköy-Beşiktaş fare from 24.98 to 28.23 Turkish Lira; and the Bostancı-Adalar fare from 65.85 to 74.41 Turkish Lira.

The taxi meter opening fee has increased by 22.19 percent, rising from 24.55 Turkish Lira to 30 Turkish Lira; the yellow taxi distance rate has increased from 17.61 Turkish Lira to 20 Turkish Lira per kilometer; the yellow taxi time tariff has increased from 195.63 Turkish Lira to 235 Turkish Lira per hour; and the yellow taxi minimum fare has increased from 90 Turkish Lira to 100 Turkish Lira.
