Double murder suspect's statement: I suspected my wife was having an affair with my brother-in-law
In Bursa, a man opened fire in the middle of the street at his brother-in-law and sister-in-law as they were returning from a grocery store, citing suspicion of jealousy. The couple, who were shot in the head, died at the scene, while the suspect who caused the terror was apprehended with the murder weapon.

The incident occurred at midnight on Kartal Street in the Beyazıt neighborhood. According to allegations, Hidayet Demirkıran and his wife, Yağmur Demirkıran, were subjected to an armed attack by Niyazi K., who had been lying in wait, as they were returning from grocery shopping.

Upon the notification of citizens who heard the gunshots, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Checks performed by the medical teams confirmed that the couple had lost their lives.

Teams from the Bursa Public Security Branch Office's Homicide Bureau apprehended the suspect, who had fled after the incident, in a short time along with the weapon used in the crime. It was learned that in his initial statement, the suspect claimed he suspected an affair between his wife and his brother-in-law, and that he carried out the attack for this reason.
