Elderly patients targeted: After the newborn gang, the stent gang shakes the healthcare sector!

New scandals are being added to those already plaguing the healthcare sector. Following the newborn gang, a 'stent gang' has now emerged, with allegations that this group has caused the deaths of elderly citizens.

It is also among the allegations that in some hospitals, people are being taken into eye surgeries without cause, and thousands have been blinded due to improper practices. Here are the new scandals in the healthcare sector that will leave everyone stunned...

GANGS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR

While the 'newborn gang,' which drove newborn babies to death for the sake of money, horrified Turkey, scandals in the healthcare sector have begun to emerge one by one following reports and detailed investigations.

It has been determined that gangs have effectively taken over the sector and that these groups have deprived thousands of people of their health. It has emerged that these healthcare gangs force people into unnecessary surgeries, perform incorrect and incomplete treatments, issue high invoices, and cause millions of liras in losses to the Social Security Institution (SGK) by conducting fake operations using stolen identities.

According to a report in the Türkiye Gazetesi newspaper; among the most common methods used are: performing critical surgeries like angiograms on patients who do not need them, showing individuals as being in intensive care using identities obtained under the guise of free health check-ups, performing unnecessary treatments and procedures on people under the guise of free eye examinations, showing individuals as receiving dialysis using their identity information, and issuing high invoices and selling expensive medication to people through referral procedures arranged via doctors contracted from state hospitals.

THEY USED CITIZENS' IDENTITY INFORMATION

With the dismantling of the newborn gang, serious allegations have been made regarding the hospitals named on the list. People who have visited these hospitals have begun to share their experiences one by one on CİMER (Presidential Communication Center) and social media. It was stated that some hospitals established marketing departments for this purpose; they collected people from non-governmental organizations, factories, and even the streets, and repeatedly performed procedures on individuals whose identity information they obtained under the guise of 'free examinations.'

NOW THE 'STENT GANG' HAS EMERGED

It was stated that some private hospitals subject elderly patients to major operations. The statements further noted, “At the forefront of these procedures are angiograms and stents. Even if the patient does not need this procedure, the hospital management and doctors collude, tell the patient's relatives that the situation is 'urgent,' and rush them into surgery. In this way, they demand money from both the SGK and the patient's relatives. Because the patients are elderly, most of these procedures result in death. These are called the 'stent gang.'”

THOUSANDS HAVE GONE BLIND

Another allegation is that some hospitals lure people in under the guise of 'free eye examinations' and put them through many unnecessary tests. It is stated that individuals are persuaded to undergo surgery even when they do not need it, and that many people have lost their vision as a result of these operations. If the victim files a lawsuit, they are told, “According to the agreement you signed before the examination, our hospital accepts no liability.”

CONFESSIONS HAVE ARRIVED

Confessions made on social media regarding the subject included the following statements;

“People who come to the hospital are given 'simple health checks' and are dropped off where they were picked up by free shuttles. You see this as a gesture, but the situation is different. The hospital uses the identity information it has obtained repeatedly.”

THEY SHOW THEM AS BEING IN INTENSIVE CARE

They even admit people who come for a health check-up into intensive care without the person's knowledge. In other words, the person is at work, let's say at a factory, but they appear as being in intensive care at the hospital.

300 PEOPLE COME PER DAY

Records show that 200-300 people come to one hospital per day.”
